Will the beavers be doing the full hike on both days?

Both the Hikes are leisurely walks over 3 hours with lots of stringing out then catching up.
I have taken Beavers and siblings before as young as 5 3/4 and we have not had any issues however the routes allow for us to split up the group into smaller units if we have any that are struggling.

Will there be another a Camp this year for Beavers?

Currently we are reviewing plans for the reminder of the year. Another Beaver camp will depend upon a number of factors; success of this, Accommodation availability & costs, and availability of Adult helpers and leaders, there is a higher Adult to Child ratio for Beavers, than Cubs and Scouts. We previously only done one main camp during the year, this hasn’t included Beavers. Scouts and Older cubs have done more, but we will review after this weekend.

Is it just St Mary’s group or others and are our Beaver Leaders attending?

The Camp is only for St Mary’s group, and we will have sole use of the lodge. There will be other troops at Waddecar.

Please could you clarify the times and whether it would be the Saturday rather than the Sunday.

Day only attendance is Saturday.
If you are attending Saturday only please arrive by 8:30 Collection is at 16:30/17:00

What activities will Beavers be doing?

The morning will be a hike as detailed in the program, the afternoon will be a combination of games and Archery/Shooting.

What kit is required for Beavers staying the day only? Is food provided?

Lunch will be provided, please see the kit list, but as there will be a hike and outdoor activities, suggest Boots, Waterproofs & rucksacks plus Suncream if the weather is going to nice (fingers crossed)

What is the cost for Beavers only staying the day?

£15 this covers food and the Waddecar activity costs

My son is a bit nervous about attending can we cancel if he changes his mind, and will there be any costs?

If any child is unhappy/nervous obviously you can cancel, will we try and minimise any cancellation costs but this can be discussed if this occurs.
