STMMSG Cubs & Scouts Sailing at Rishton 16th May 2016

28 April 2016

Cub/Scouts

On Monday 16th May we will be Sailing on Rishton Reservoir with the help of volunteers from around the East Lancs area.

Please meet on the main road ie Blackburn Road A678 from Rishton towards Whitebirk roundabout. See map below

Unless you are staying to watch PLEASE PLEASE do not come down to the sailing club as the road is narrow and this just causes Traffic chaos. We will sort a taxi service/walk in groups down the lane, please DO NOT leave your son unattended.

Please arrive at 6pm but Not later than 6:15, as we aim to be on the water no later than 6:30, if you can come ready to get straight on the water this will help. Pick up will be same place and around 8:30, again the troop will be taxied/walk to the Main Road.

Please ensure that you bring the permission form below, and ensure your son/daughter wears appropriate gear – preferable wet suit plus Waterproof coat, alternative is swim wear with Waterproof coat, light trouseurs to keep them warm. There are changing facilities so warm clothes, towel to dry and change into is essential.

REALLY IMPORTANT:

Please Please let us know if you plan to attend or NOT, as we need to ensure we have enough qualified leaders and if necessary we may need to add additional water activities such as Canoeing if we need to and have sufficient warning that numbers are high.

We also appreciate that the early start may limit people being able to attend, or simply don’t wish to attend.

But please tell us one way or the other, (it really does help as at least we know you have made a decision).
Please do not turn up unless you have informed as we have to have the correct Adult to child ratio to ensure everyone is safe.

Please use the form below (please don’t email, text etc)
